No 524 - Roggenrola by Ultyzarus No 524 - Roggenrola by Ultyzarus
Redesign of the Pokémon Roggenrola.
I was wondering how to do a rock-type as something that could exist in nature, and here's the result.
It's based on a woodlouse, except that because of the shell's shape, it stands when it rolls.
I'll be doing its evolutions too.

Process recorded at www.livestream.com/ultyzarus

That makes a lot of sense. It's cool too see how people go about making pokemon more like real animals. Not every one does it the same way.

A rather interesting rendition.

Regarding how a rock creature could occur in nature, what about one of a different biochemistry, a non-carbon based one?

Well, there are as many possible interpretations as there are artists to draw them, some specialize in more alien-looking renditions ([link] for instance). Going that way, pretty much everything is possible. I do, however, prefer drawing more earthly-nature inspired versions.

Wildly creative solution. Can you help me pick of a pieces of my mind that have scattered all over?
